The Chairman, CTC, Eleme LGA,  Chief Obarilomate Ollor JP has been commended for  his efforts at restoring peace in Eleme LGA by sensitizing youths of the area to embrace the ongoing Rivers State Government's Amnesty programme.

Speaking on "View Point" a weekend Current Affairs programme on Rhythm 93.7 FM, Sir Kenneth Chindah, Chairman, Rivers State Amnesty Committee,  said he is impressed by the efforts of the Eleme council chairman at creating adequate awareness and also reaching out to critical stakeholders in the area which he said prompted a large turn out of various groups, Community and Youth Leaders at the inaugural meeting at the council during the last visit of the Amnesty Committee to the Local government.

Sir Kenneth Chindah also reaffirmed the Amnesty Committee's resolve to visit Eleme LGA on Tuesday 18th April 2017. 9:00am at the Eleme local government council Secretariat, Ogale.

He however, warned that anyone still found with arms and ammunitions,  still belonging to any cult group and engaging in any form of criminality after the programme, will be made to face the full weight of the Law.

Others also lauded for their various roles at ensuring success of the programme in the area are Rt Rev. Moses Kattey, Bishop of the Commonwealth Covenant Church Int'l. and the O ela Obor Eleme.
