THE FRIENDLY AND PHILANTHROPIC KING; EZE CHIKE OGBONDA

HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chike Bobby Ogbonda; Eze Oha-Evo of the ancient kingdom of Evo in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has been tagged a friendly and philanthropic royal father by different organizations due to his supports and empowerment schemes.

Eze Chike Ogbonda yesterday 13^th of June, 2017 attended the burial of Late Mrs. Patience Chinwo the wife of a notable leader from Rumuodara Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area; Elder Peter Chinwo.

The Eze prayed that God will wipe away the pains in their hearts and advised that since God is aware, that He will grant them the Grace to carry on.

It will be recalled that the Eze has on the 22^nd of April, 2017 paid the family of Elder Peter Chinwo a condolence visit.

Like a Golden Fish, which they say has no hiding place. Eze Chike came back to his palace to meet with three (3) organizations which came to visit him.

·   Dukes Associates: which is an association of Student Union Leaders in Rivers State, conferred an award to his majesty. The award tagged ‘Golden Star Award’ was presented to the Eze based on his numerous support and empowerment schemes.

Speaking while presenting the Award to the Eze, the President of the association Comrade Kelvin Amadi commended him for his philanthropic dexterity within and outside Obio/Akpor.

·   Woji Estate Youths and Environs Association: The Youths came to discuss some security issues and challenges. And also asked for government intervention.

·   Rumuola Youth Forum (RYF) visited to inform and seek the support of the Eze on their programme aimed at sensitizing the youths of Rumuola on Hard Drugs coming up on the 26^th of June, 2017.

Eze Chike thanked Dukes Associates for the award and promised to continue doing whatever that have earned him the Star Award. Promised to look into the security issues tabled by the Woji association and also to assist the Rumuola Youth Forum in their forth coming programme.

A youth at the occasion while speaking with Pitakwa Media, said that HRM Eze Chike Ogbonda has redefined the position of a ‘Royal Father’. That in the past, royal fathers was seen to receive, including what belongs to the community, but that Eze Chike is the opposite.

He also informed our reporters that last week the Eze visited some primary schools in Obio/Akpor where he presented notebooks to them. Which he said to him it is “extraordinary and unprecedented”, and prayed that God will continue to protect, bless the Eze and give him the wisdom to lead his people even better.
