DR IPALIBO SOGULES ADVISES YOUTHS TO BE BUSINESS ORIENTED

The Managing Director of Rivers State Micro Finance Agency (RIMA), Dr. Ipalibo Sogules has advised youths to be enterprenueral and business oriented. Dr. Sogules while addressing members of D-Source Connect Group,one of the foremost and leading social media groups in the country who were on a courtesy visit to him in his office earlier today,urged them to take advantage of the loan scheme of the agency provided by the Government of Rivers State to create wealth for themselves and others and also to improve on their potentials.

Barr. Dike Vincent Amadi who spoke on behalf of the group thanked Dr. Ipalibo Sogules for keeping his doors open always for the group and further applauded him for his efforts towards repositioning the Agency and the business environment of Rivers State through the provision of soft loans to prospective investors in Rivers State at very low interest rates without collateral.

Dr. Sogoules while reacting to the questions from the members of the delegation concerning the efforts of the Agency towards ensuring that youths who are business oriented benefit from the loan scheme of the agency, charged the youths to ensure that their dreams are not allowed to die but they should strive to see that whatever dream they have is followed up with passion until it is actualised. Stating that youths with Business ideas can approach the Agency for Loans as the Agency has increased the Amount of Loan it gave out in 2016 from 1B to 1.2B in 2017, he further encouraged youths to leverage on this opportunity.

The M.D also noted that there are several sources one can get fund for business such as the Enterpreneural Development Initiative which has it's office at Calabar in Cross River State and encouraged the youths to always take advantage of such sources.

He however expressed disappointment that no Rivers State indigene has been able to exploit this avenue and was saddened that the past administration could not provide office space for the scheme when they came to the state which led to their relocation to Calabar.

He further stated that he is already in talks with the Management of the scheme towards making them establish an office in the state so as to assist small businesses.

The Managing Director noted that he and his team are poised towards changing the fortunes of the agency. He said the Agency is a profit oriented agency as such he and his team are working assiduously to make that a reality.
