HON. KELECHI NWOGU COMMENCES MASSIVE DEVELOPMENT IN OMUMA
Since 1999 that Omuma Local Government Area was created in Rivers State, the LGA has not witnessed the kind of development it is currently receiving now from Hon. Kelechi Nwogu.
Hon Kelechi Nwogu was first elected to represent Omuma Constituency In Rivers State House Of Assembly in 2011, due to the political development in the state that affected the house that time, Rotimi Ameachi who was the governor denied Omuma any constituency project because Hon. Nwogu was among the five lawmakers who challenged the governor over the closure of the judiciary and legislature. Amaechi even publicly admitted that the five lawmakers and their constituencies won't get anything from his government.
But despite the political persecution and deprivation, Hon. KC as he is popularly called managed to electrify some communities in Omuma, like Umucham, Umoroke and Umusu. The lawmaker has empowered several youths and women in the area. Omuma Cottage Hospital, Eberi Omuma renovated and furnished by Hon. Kelechi Nwogu will be commissioned for use in 30 days time.
Over the years Omuma had only Obiri Omuma which is a dilapidated 200 capacity hall as a rallying point in the entire local government area, most times the people rely on canopies to host big events because no rallying point for Omuma people to gather. Right now Hon. Kelechi Nwogu has awarded the contract for the construction of a world class ultra modern 4000 capacity conference center in Eberi Omuma, the conference center that is called Kelechi Legacy Hall will be under the control of the LG council.
The lawmaker is also renovating Obiri Omuma in Eberi, Umuakirikpo Town Hall in Ofeh Community and Umuekelebu Town Hall in Umuogba Community. He promised that Kelechi Legacy Hall will be completed in five months time, and the electrification projects in Umuakirikpo and Umuekelebu will be completed before he leaves office.
The people of Omuma are really happy and they are thanking Hon. Kelechi Nwogu for being a true representative of the people.
